Atlanta Midface Lift Surgery

As we grow older, the pull of gravity causes the cheek skin and fat to sag along with deepening of the nasolabial folds. This gives the appearance of an aged, tired and sad facial expression -- even when you feel energetic and happy. Many individuals experience these aging effects as early as their 30’s, and others are naturally that way in their 20’s.

Endoscopic Midface Lift

The Enodoscopic Midface Lift or Cheek Lift, is a surgical technique used to reverse the effects of gravity and loss of elasticity. The midface lift corrects the deepening of the nasolabial folds, lifting the soft tissues of the cheek - including the Malar fat pad – and repositioning it up over the cheek bones in a more youthful position.  It may also be combined with a Buccal Fat Pad Transposition or Contouring procedure to further create a more youthful and attractive heart shaped face.

The Lower Eyelids and Midface
The facial aging process results in a loss of facial fat volume and hollowing.  Traditional surgical techniques included removal of fat from the lower eyelid. This can cause a sunken, hollowed appearance.

Today’s more advanced techniques consist of fat preservation and repositioning to safeguard facial fat. This creates a more natural transition between the lower eyelid and midface filling in the tear trough and correcting the bulging lower eyelid fat. Following a lower eyelid blepharoplasty combined with a mid-face lift, you can expect a more youthful looking cheek and eyelid.

Marketing Terminology:
The Endoscopic Face Lift
and Temporal Midface Lift are additional names for the Endoscopic Midface Lift that are used for marketing purposes, and it is considered an effective way to reduce the signs of aging in the midface because it involves fewer incisions, less scarring and a shorter recovery period. The indications for a midface lift are different than for a traditional face lift. Face lift surgery can be combined with midface lift surgery for a superior result.

Whether you opt for an enodoscopic midface lift or combine it with additional facial plastic surgery techniques, it offers a fast recovery and a more youthful appearance.
