The latest news from celebrity royalty power couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West is that they are engaged. Kim posted a picture of her enormous 15 carat rock on her personal Instagram for her followers. Just weeks before the engagement news, the web was buzzing about Kim possibly having more work done as her face looked slightly different in Instagram photos. If she had anything done recently, our guess is simply catching up on Botox and fillers, procedures that are not recommended during pregnancy.
The bigger question fans have long been asking is what plastic surgery Kim has undergone over the years. Photos of her from her past look significantly different, and despite her adamant insistence to the contrary, we think it is obvious work has been done. Kim has always been a beautiful girl, blessed with great genes. Plastic surgery is an extremely personal decision, and if someone would rather not disclose what work they’ve had done, that is their prerogative. However, when you are as famous as Kim, it’s hard to hide the obvious.
Double board certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Benjamin Stong, who is not affiliated with Kim Kardashian, stated, “Judging from the before and after photos, it is obvious some alterations have been made. Kim has admitted to having Botox injections, which seems accurate. As well, her nose is shortened, much more narrow, and defined, which could point to a rhinoplasty.” Of course, the changes are extremely subtle, and no doubt whoever performed the procedures was an expert.
It is amazing how subtle little ‘tweeks’ can make such a dramatic impact on one’s face. Botox and facial fillers like Juvederm can make a huge statement and don’t require surgery. As well, rhinoplasty can be customized to fit the patient’s needs and desires, and range from a subtle to dramatic change. Sometimes, less is more, and subtle changes are still able to effectively enhance one’s natural beauty without overtly changing the features.
