It may come as no surprise to learn that many people visit a plastic surgeon in order to look better. But what about learning that many people visit a plastic surgeon in order to look like someone else? Does Michael Jackson come to mind?
41 year old Deborah Davenport recently revealed that she spend upwards of $15,000 in order to have her face resemble her lifelong idol, Kate Winslet. Deborah claims to have been unhappy with the appearance of her nose, cheeks, forehead, and her drawn face. She reports that multiple people commented on how she looked like Cameron Diaz. Apparently that was the last straw.
Deborah says that she lusted after the roundness of Kate Winslet’s face that gave her a much more youthful and naturally beautiful appearance. So Deborah went the route of multiple plastic surgeries in order to achieve the “natural” beauty of her favorite celebrity. Interesting.
According to many plastic surgeons, there is a blooming trend for people wanting to look like someone else. Dr. Stong with Kalos Facial Plastic Surgery understands people’s desires to look more attractive, however, he does not promote multiple surgeries in order for people to look like someone else. Many times, multiple procedures end up with negative results. A person’s body, especially the face, can only handle so much. Dr. Stong believes that it is much more beneficial to enhance one’s personal beauty than to try to recreate that of someone else.
